…we spoke about oil vs. acrylic, so…
One thing I love about not pre-sketching and using oil paint is that my mistakes are fixable and so I can go back and “delete” something that isn’t sitting well with me, without worrying about the paint drying too fast or without feeling constricted to color within the lines. I think if I pre-sketched I may not have exaggerated the features as much as I did.

It really is amazing to actually be able to watch art come alive, from the simplest of beginnings to the final product. Another job overly well done.

It comes natural. I don’t spend any time thinking about it. Each color has a different energy. I go with what feels right in the moment. It’s almost like feng shui, or interior decorating. You do what adds the balance or vibe you desire for the space… and so fourth.

To be honest I can’t fully recall, but given the time condensed, I think it was about 2-4 hours sitting in one spot. I didn’t take any breaks. So, it could be closer to 2 hours, not including the video production This painting is 10 inches by 10 inches. My larger pieces take much longer.

I've been denying the artist inside me for too long. It seems to be that no mater what I do in life, things always bring me back to my Art. I love it, I enjoy it, it defines me. At the moment I'm just following my dreams, doing what I love...
Painting has always been a long time hobby of mine, but over the past couple of years it has been something I've found myself doing more and more and I've given a lot of my work away without documenting it, so a lot of it is lost in the sands of time... With the site I'm hoping to get a lot more exposure and feedback on my work which will help me to grow and develop further as an artist. All comments and critiques are welcome!
